These smiles... thanks to you!
Rainbow Cafe
The residents of Rainbow House started a new Coffee Shop in 2021!
The shop is managed and operated by the older residents, who learn business and retail skills, in addition to how to brew up a good latte! All proceeds go to the operation expenses of CCD.
Even during the Covid lockdowns, CCD therapists continue to travel long distances to bring therapy for children who live in the outer provinces. Many families with special needs kids are unable to provide the necessary therapy for their children's development.
CCD therapists bridge that gap.
Our donors help build that bridge.
Thank you for your continued support.
CCD awarded the Prime Minister's Shield by the Minister of Social Development and Human Resources for high standards as a charitable organization.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
from everyone at CCD
Congratulations, CCD, on the grand opening of a
physiotherapy center at
Baan Chang Hospital in Pathum Thani!
CCD's Community Based Rehabilitation program has made a huge leap forward in its efforts to bring state of the art therapy to disabled children in the Thai district of Pathum Thani, north of Bangkok. The center opened in September providing CCD's therapists a wonderful facility to help area children in need of their services.
Thank you to our generous donors for your continued support.
CCD's Kitchen Garden
The children at CCD get to help grow and eat fruits and vegetables from their very own garden at Rainbow House
THANK YOU Christ Episcopal Church Columbia, MD
for your donation to support the hard working
physical therapists at CCD.
Rainbow House Rehabilitation Center to re-open July 2020
The teachers, therapists and staff
are busy with another big cleaning
to prepare the center for
re-opening in July!
COVID-19 UPDATE
The government has shut down all daycare and community based rehabilitation operations of CCD due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The staff are using this time to clean and sanitize all facilities in preparation for re-opening. The children who are residents of Rainbow House are missing their friends, but are being well taken care of by the wonderful teachers and staff who remain committed to the children.
Congratulations, Piyamit! (the little guy circled in red)
Little Piyamit was born premature with hydrocephalus of the brain on October 19, 1996. Abandoned by his mother, he was placed 8 months later in a government orphanage. When he was almost 5 years old, Wasan and Chariya brought him "home" to Rainbow House, where he was lovingly cared for until April of 2003, when John and Carmen Schuette adopted him into their family and he went to live in America at the age of 7.
Fast forward to 2018----wedding bells rang when Piyamit (Spencer) married Julie on May 26, 2018.
And even more exciting...everyone at CCD just celebrated the happy news of the birth of their healthy baby girl on Feb 5!!!
Stories like this are why we do what we do. Thank you to everyone who supports CCD (and the boys and girls like Piyamit.)
THANK YOU
Dr. Rao Kowtha and
school of business students from
Pacific Lutheran University
for recently visiting and volunteering at CCD while
in Thailand!
